We are excited to endorse these leaders for North Plains City Council in the 2026 General Election! ‍‍Candidates from left to right.

• Anna Warrington was appointed to the North Plains City Council in March of this year. She has been a North Plains resident for two decades and is a retired Team Lead and Project Manager, with expertise in financial management.

• Melody Axe is a Direct Support Specialist for people with persistent mental illness. She has worked for the National Alliance For Mental Illness Washington County and the Department of Human Services

• Don Weber was appointed to the North Plains City Council in December 2025. He is a retired Director of a Big Brother and Big Sisters program, and served over 35 years as Youth Minister, Finance Director and Parish Administrator of St. Aloysius Gonzaga Parish and School in Spokane, Washington.

Here are the values that we and our endorsed candidates uphold:

• Good Governance: We stand for a city government that is transparent, ethical, responsible, and that engages and listens to the public.

• Fiscal Responsibility: We stand for annual audits, analyzing the fiscal impacts of decisions like managed growth before taking irreversible action, not giving tax breaks to big business, incentivizing local businesses, and wisely using tax dollars.

• Community: We support family-oriented public services, local business not data centers, and the greater community that makes North Plains what it is.

• Pro-Responsible Growth: We support managed, thoughtful, and fact-based growth of North Plains in a way that meets our needs, serves our residents, and that the city can afford. North Plains is not spill-over for Hillsboro. We are our own distinct community outside Metro.

• Farmland Protection: We recognize that our surrounding rural businesses are, and have always been, an important part of the community. We value the land, soil, open space, and natural areas that surround our city and make it special.

We love North Plains. North Plains is more than just The City to the Sunset, it’s home for over 3,600 of us. It’s a place for entrepreneurs and families, workers and retirees, new residents and multi-generational legacies.

We were founded to support this city when outside influence was trying to force it to sprawl by twice its size for data centers, warehouses, and hulking subdivisions (see our FAQ page ). Those outside influences persist in trying to make money by undermining North Plains’ new City Councilors who volunteered to make needed improvements after years of mismanagement.

We strongly support Councilor Mark De Forge who is being unjustly attacked in a PR campaign, likely paid for by land speculators and developers. The reason for this attack? De Forge is addressing the systemic problems created by prior councilors and a City Manager who seemed intent on executing a real estate plan for developers. These outside influencers are trying to use a smear campaign to take back City Hall. We cannot let that happen.‍ ‍
